I have seen that story far too many times, and the lack of sound effects took away from the experience (though believe me, I know how hard that is, and I've put stuff out without sound effects because I just couldn't find good enough ones for free). However, I was able to overlook those things in view of the excellent job you did on pretty much everything else.

Above all, I appreciate the enormous effort that you have clearly put into this movie. Oh, and Yoko Kanno--good choice.
Some (hopefully) constructive criticism:
The graphics sort of disagreed with me at times, Particularly in terms of the pre-rendered backgrounds. I think it might have been cooler if you had just done a paint-over in photoshop or painter. I've done some work in bryce, and just doing something to give it a hand-drawn style goes a long way (if you would like a before/after example, e-mail me: max_abernethy@hotmail.com). Also, I think the character might have been better as a flat silhouette. What I really -did- like was the way that everything was broken up into its elements, particularly the scenes where the landscapes flashed smoothly on and off.

I wouldn't be so presumptious as to say that the things I've made necessarily deserve better scores than what they got, but it does suck to post something and find that 10 people voted zeros just seconds later, obviously without having even played the game. Flash -is- hard, and I hope this makes people realize the time and effort that people put into it to make quality games and movies that the world can enjoy for free.

For a first movie, very good.
The overall was much higher than the average because I thought you deserved some extra points for your first movie. All I can say is keep it up, learn new techniques, and improve your work.

Loved it, beautiful style, music, and humour.
While i know that the music wasn't original, anything that can make me laugh that hard is worth a ten. The graphics were stylistically very funny and even without that extra touch the animation is sound. Good work, I'd like to see more from you.
